Neste trabalho estudou-se a floração e frutificação de laranjeira Valência em dois portaenxertos: limoeiro Cravo e tangerineira Cleópatra, nas condições climáticas de Cordeirópolis, SP. Avaliações das estruturas reprodutivas foram realizadas, em quatro quadrantes da copa, durante duas safras (2005/2006 e 2006/2007). No primeiro ciclo, as plantas em Cleópatra floresceram antecipadamente e de forma lenta, apresentando menor fixação de frutos. Na safra seguinte, mesma tendência foi observada, porém com menor número de estruturas reprodutivas. Para as condições de Cordeirópolis/SP, o limoeiro Cravo proporciona menor período de floração, maior fixação de frutos e consequentemente maior produção à laranjeira Valência.

The flowering and fruiting of the Valencia sweet orange on two rootstocks, Rangpur lime and Cleopatra mandarin, were evaluated in Cordeirópolis, Sao Paulo State, Brazil. Evaluations of reproductive structures were performed in four quadrants of the canopy for two seasons (2005/2006 and 2006/2007). In the first cycle, the plants on Cleopatra flowered in advance but slowly, with low fruit set. In the following season the same trend was observed, but with fewer reproductive structures. For the conditions of this study, the Rangpur lime as rootstock provides the shortest period of flowering, higher fruit set and consequently higher production for Valencia orange.
